The darker your skin is, the prettier pure white looks next to the skin.
You said you weren't very fair. I would stay away from the off white shades and go with pure white.

You would look beautiful in it.If your skin has a little bit of yellow pigment in it, then a champagne color or an off white that leans toward the yellowish side would be most flattering to you.

You're going to be a bride! Congratulations.
Don't worry. I'm sure you'll find the right color by simply trying them on and seeing what they look like on you.

You'll be gorgeous.

Congratulations- and the best answer would be to go TRY on the different dresses and colors. It all depends on the dress- there really is about 100 shades of white in wedding dresses and the same goes for the newer colors like "champagne". So go try on the dresses and then decide...........good luck

A white dress with some sort of bright-colored accessory would be lovely on a dark haired, brown eyed, tawny gal. Congratulations on your wedding!

EDIT: Now that I've read the other answers, I still like mine. But if you don't care for white, I agree with Shannon that tangerine would also be lovely on you. I'd accessorize that with something lighter-colored but complementary.

How about a champaigne color? There's no law saying that you have to be married in snow white... a light golden-white like champaigne or ivory would set off the gold tones in your skin.

Alternately, go for a color that you feel beautiful in. The days of getting married in white as a symbol of virtue are over!

if i get married id like to get married in black cos its my favourite shade. i have seen people get married in royal blue and red and they both looked great. Its completely up to u what colour u get married in. Whatever ur culture/religion indicates is an appropriate colour to get married in might be nice. Discuss it with ur mother, mother in law, sisters, cousins and close girl friends and see if u can come up with something. otherwise all the girls could choose their favourite colour , write it down, put it in a hat and u could then draw out the colour of ur wedding dress.
