The Word - Irving Wallace
Deception Point - Dan Brown
The Divine Comedy - Dante Alleghieri

(Side note to Shahbarak: Interesting how all of your "theories" keep you from having to own up to any responsibility. Not to mention a complete and total misunderstanding of the Bible.)

Try the Old Testament. God made everything and gave the best bit to the Israelites - and then regularly punished them and "sold them into slavery" for enjoying it. Sounds like a conspiracy to me. And then there's the sin bit - a conspiracy to make people feel guilty and therefor subject to the authority of Church and priests etc. I could go on, but you've got the idea. Or there's civilisation and education - a conspiracy to make people accept being unfree, and trained like monkeys to do jobs from which others profit. Conspiracies are easy. Just think of somebody or group that can benefit from happen-chance in any way whatsoever, and then consider some unlikely way they might achieve it.
