I can be a lil shy; so when a guy approaches me with that...confidence, it's an instant attraction, but it usually ends up bad. They are not the most faithful, they are also crazy selfish as well.
How can get out of this cycle of getting with (and falling in love) with these types of personalities :(
I'm 20, so maybe this is just a phase. I never get into the situation with high expeetations, just a good time...then feelings become stronger as time goes on.

I'm not an expert or anything, but maybe you are attracted to the confidence you lack. Maybe you should focus on yourself and improve your own self confidence and you will probably attract a different or better guy.
Some of these guys that you are calling "confident" maybe are not, since they turn into cheaters. Chances are they might see your shyness as you being a "push-over"...

These are the types of men that the media says we should fall for, they are also the ones who normally think that they are Gods gift to women.
You should really go for personality and not looks, these are the guys who really treat a woman well, these are also the guys that will stick around when times get though.

confident yet humble. There're some fellows in my grade that are so cocky i will not stand it! i imagine it truly is alright to be a tiny bit cocky each once in a lengthy time period, yet once you're so cocky that you're "too reliable" to talk over with others it truly is only undeniable stressful.

after you get your heart broken (or worse) a bunch more times, you will probably learn to avoid these types. Females always seem to be attracted to these guys when they are young. I could never understand why, As a guy, I never even wanted to be freinds with these guys. they are jerks to everyone. Overconfidence usualy means they really arent that confident. I always think action goes farther than words.

i have heard it's a phase but i know some people older than you and i (i'm 21) who still feel this way. they are horrible guys but until we get heart broken enough times and get all that need for the bad-boy drama out of our systems, we won't be able to find a nice, down to earth, completely wonderful guy. it takes time for us to realize the kinda guys we need. the bad ones are just so much fun that it's hard not to fall for them. let's keep our fingers crossed that it passes!!!!

lol im the same way, theres this guy ive like 4ever and at time we were really close and i kept thinking maybe he'll change but i finally realized that it wasn't gunna happen. I think they are so irresistible b/c they know (or appear to know) who they are and maybe you just want 2 know who you are 2 so you find it attractive.

no men are born that way, most anyway, and yes they are over irresistible, but it is called, you want what isnt good for us....and that isnt good for us...and we as women tend to want men that seem to be a challenge...so you have to be a challenge right back. meet, laugh, have a great time, but when the clock strikes mid-night, fling your hair back and look at him and say " C-ya...." that will throw him for the cocky whirlwind he deserves to be in....makes them think 2wice..about you...and then you become the cocky challenge...for the cocky jerk...lol just live life and have fun with it....

Don't know. Maybe because lots of women like bad boys but are afraid to admit it. Then they see that that's not what they expected. Besides do you REALLY need that extra pressure?

Just to let you know, my opinion is, those kinda guys go for shy girls like you because they think they'd be able to control you and that you wouldn't be strong enough to say no to what he says. So be careful.

no it's very attractive for a guy to be that way but then they're doing that to other girls too. my ex husband was that way...very confident but it was worth nothing to him without his family. he crawled back but then jumped right back to do it again. not with good integrity.
