In the 10th grade I was bored. It took 960 licks to get to the center of a Tootsie pop, and 562 to get to the center of Charms Blow Pop.
Sad, isn't it?

It depends on two things:
1) What is the size of the lollypop?
2) How are you licking the lollypop?
If I would guess it would range from 50 licks for a very small lollypop and 1000 licks for the average lollypop to about 10000 licks for the biggest lollypop in the world

Depends on how people actually lick the pop. Some take small licks, some french kiss the pop - which means longer licks.
I tested this once for myself and truly licked the pop...it took me 210.

That's a very good question! Next time I will count how many licks it would take to reach the center. I personally don't eat suckers as much as other candy...but hey, it'll be an experiment for me.

I saw this answered on Unwrapped on the Food Network. It was in the mid 300s.
Rest easy tonight, friend.
