They will not be placed out of the region, they are still the highest rated team that is actually on the West Coast, and for that reason they still maybe able to get a number 1 seed, if they fall it won't be lower than a 3 seed.

From ESPN's Andy Katz:

"The selection committee does protect the top four (and sometimes five) lines in the first two rounds, keeping them as close to home as possible. In going through a mock selection process last month, though, it was made clear to those of us in attendance that the committee doesn't look to set up advantageous situations for possible Elite Eight matchups. They simply don't plan on games that may occur in the fourth round of the event. That's why UCLA could drop to No. 2 in the West (San Jose), behind a No. 1 like Wisconsin or Kansas or whomever, and the committee wouldn't necessarily worry about the disadvantage to the top seed. "

That's mostly in response to the comment about them still being the best in the West. I think they'll drop to a No. 2 seed, since the Washington lost is acceptable (Washington hasn't lost their season finale at home in the last 13 years), but losing to Cal is not.

UCLA might have seen there #1 seed go out the window with today's loss to Cal. If they fall to a #2 or #3 seed they will probably be shipped out of the western region. My gut feeling is that they get a #2 seed and might play in the Midwest. #1 seed might get shipped in. Wisconsin or Ohio State might get the #1 seed in the west. First round games for t he west are also played in Columbus.

Well, it all depends if UCLA gets a number one seed. First off, if Wisconsin and Ohio State both make it to the Big Ten Championship Game then they will both get a number one seed. If Florida wins the SEC tournament, they will also get a number one seed meaning there is only one more #1 seed left, and that will come down to either UNC and Kansas. If either of those two teams win their respective conference tournaments I expect one of them to be a number one seed, most likely Kansas. If they fail to do so (kansas and north carolina) expect UCLA to receive a number one seed. I predict Ohio State being the number one seed in the Midwest. Florida will most likely be the number one seed in the South. North Carolina/Wisconsin/Kansas will be the number on seed in the East and UCLA/Wisconsin/Kansas will be the number one seed in the West. If UCLA is not a number one they are most likely going to be the highest of the two seeds, the the selection committees pairs the highest two seed with the lowest one seed, meaning UCLA may not be able to play out West if Kansas is the number one seed out West. I can see them being moved to the East or the South as a two seed. It all comes down to the conference tournaments.

in basic terms on your suggestions, the area is in step with the place they are going to play, no longer the place the team is from, so UNC ought to get the west #a million on a similar time as UCLA gets the south #a million or something like that. Wisconsin won't get one after their recent losses. Kansas needs to win the convention tourney, which they wont... agreed. Texas A&M needs to win the convention tourney, yet I disagree approximately wanting the others to lose... UNC won't get a a million seed till they win the convention tourney and function A&M lose. Florida is a lock. Ohio St is a lock. UCLA is a lock. My #a million seeds are Florida, Ohio St, UCLA, and Texas A&M. #2 seeds are Georgetown, UNC, Wisconsin, and Kansas.

They will not get a #1 seed, period. They will probably get a #2 seed and probably will be seeded in a close region, like the Southwest Region.

who knows what they're gona do they're never consistent about it. it's a coin toss for what region they'll end up in but i think it's safe to say they'll get no lower than a 2 seed.

Still #1...gotta give it up to my man Ryan Anderson from Cal, though. I know him personally and he has the ability to take over any game because he's so versatile and makes it difficult for people to guard him.
