Nobody does lay-a-way anymore it got to expensive for retail stores to have this kind of program, and most of the credit cards offers low to zero interest on credit cards and that way the purchases are made on the spot intead of just sitting on a storage part in the back part of a warehouse and using space for other merchandise to sell. The best way is to have your own lay-a-way is to but a gift card and refill it every week till you have collected the amount you need to purchase this game boy or any other item you wish.

wal mart no longer has layaway either. I don't think there areany stores out there now. You might check some smaller electronic stores, home owned places, but no major chains anymore. They have all gone to their own version of creditcards which are easier to qualify for, but yet still put you in risk of a credit issue.

My local K-mart still does layaway. Call your local store and see if they still have it. Depending on where you live, if there is a Meijers, they have layaway but it is only like 30 days vs 8 weeks at K-mart.
