What good would a light do? If the World turned to darkness, we'd all freeze to death in a matter of moments.

Electricity would run for a little. Plants would die, then animals, then finally humans. We would be screwed. I would say that you better go do whatever you wanted to do but you were afraid too like a little gigity gigity goo.
