My Last period was on 11/24/06. I am irregular to begin with, so going so long with out one didn't concern me too Much... But When my metabolizim slowed down and I began to feel quite ill in the mornings, I took the tests.... I am Unsure what to do.

Most of all how I would know the around the time frame I could have gotten pregnant...

A false positive is very rare. What you need to do is get a blood test done to be 100% positive. If you are unable to see a regular doctor about this then go to planned parenthood, they can help you too. This needs to be done a.s.a.p. so that if you are pregnant you can get proper prenatal care. If you are pregnant an ultrasound which is usually performed between 18-22 weeks will let you know how far along you are. Seeing as part of this possible pregnancy has gone unnoticed you may have an u/s sooner. Good luck to you.

False positives are very rare. I'd say you were pregnant. You'd be almost 4 months. If your periods were regular, you'd have conceived around 12/9/06. But since you say it is irregular anyway, there is a possibility you conceived later than that. To know for sure, go to your doc. If his/her test shows that you are pregnant, he/she will do an ultrasound to determine how far along you are. When he or she gives you a due date, just count back nine months from that (example: my due date is September 15th, 9 months before that is December 15th), and that's an approximation (but not exact date) of when you conceived.

Sometimes, an ovarian cyst can mimic the symptoms of pregnancy and even cause an increase in the hormone levels that the pregnancy test is testing for (hense, the positive ones).

If you go to your doctor, simple exam at this stage (assuming that you are pregnant)should indicate that you are pregnant (the cervix turns purplish blue when you are pregnant and the doctor can tell if your uterus is enlarged) on the other hand, during the same exam, he/she can check for sensitivity in your ovaries- which would indicate a cyst. In which casem, you will probably be sent for an ultrasound.

Hope all turns out well for you.

Any positives on tests mean that you are pregnant. In early pregnancy some tests might not detect the HCG (giving you a false negative) because the hormone has not had time to build up enough. A visit to the dr can clear things up, a blood test can be done to verify pregnancy as well as number of HCG in your system, which until an ultrasound is done is the best way to date pregnancy. Best Wishes!

fake positives are very uncommon. i might say you have been pregnant. you would be very just about 4 months. in the experience that your classes have been time-honored, you will have conceived around 12/9/06. yet considering the fact which you assert it particularly is strange besides, there's a probability you conceived later than that. to understand for specific, go on your checklist. If his/her attempt exhibits which you're pregnant, he/she will do an ultrasound to verify how a great way alongside you're. while he or she supplies you a due date, in basic terms count quantity back 9 months from that (occasion: my due date is September fifteenth, 9 months formerly this is December fifteenth), and that's an approximation (yet no longer appropriate date) of once you conceived.

Your best bet is to go to a doctor and have a blood test. You will likely need an ultrasound to figure out your due date as you don't know when you were due for your next period. Because of that, you won't be able to tell when you would have concieved. Be sure to tell your doctor that you were always irregular to begin with.

Its commen to get a false negitive and almose impossible to get false positive. As hcg levels have to be their for test to work. And if your not then their would be no hcg levels. Hope this helps. Wait a few days and test with 1st morning urine as HCG levels are strongest then. My mum had no period for a year then she found out she was having me and she was 28 weeks already. So their is a chance even with irregular periods.

Were they all the same brand of tests? Some tests pick up a lower level of hcg and some higher...but if you got two positive tests then I would assume that you are pregnant....I think you should see your Dr. as soon as you can to see whats going on....Especially since you havent had a period since Nov.....Good Luck!

If you got a positive, then you are pregnant. You probably have a very low amount of the hcg still, so it's not going to get picked up by the test every time. Stop taking so many tests!!

If the home tests are inconclusive go to a doctor for a proper test. You may also have a medical condition other than pregnancy causing the symptoms.
