It's not worth getting caught, though. So is there a real risk?

By using FedEx (especially if it travels across state lines) you may be committing a felony. You PROBABLY wouldn't get caught, and I seriously doubt they would land a felony charge on you for it, but yes, it is somewhat risky.

You are so freakin' stupid. Do you think that this is a joke? Conspiracy to distribute, and the recipient faces heavy prison time when they knock on the door and he receives the package, even if he didn't ask for it? Do you think a dog won't alert on a package because you wrap it in plastic or a DVD case? How many people are in prison today who thought that same thing? What kind of a friend are you? The chance of getting caught is small but the punishment for it would be huge. Use you're freaking head, you have no idea if they have drug sniffing dogs at the sorting plants. Honestly, it isn't worth the small risk because you might wind up in a federal "pound me in the *** prison"

Yes. If you took it to the FedEx store yourself they will have an eyewitness in case the package is opened/suspected, and then it's a federal offense. Not just like small amount possession, but TEN YEARS. Conspiracy to distribute.

Remember, it is not against the law to use marijuana, just against the law to possess it, purchase it, grow it, and distribute it. This would count as misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance if you or your friend were caught.
