I think it does. And like others have mentioned, so does the internet, advertising, and a lot of other things. I am 51 and have never owned a tv in my life. That is how much I am against it. I last lived around a tv at age 14. You are what you feed your mind, remember that. A male is usually more affected by what he sees than a female.

A good show on tv is like a good steak in a trashy garbage dump. It might be a steak, but is it worth digging through all the trash so you can have it?

I think that the mechanism that drives human sexual development is different in every different person, some people will be inflenced by what they see, but more likely what they see triggers an already existant preference.

In regards to the enormous amount of sexual material available to our children through all media, I think that what it does is sexualise children in the eyes of adults.

I firmly believe that the people who ultimately make the decisions about what we see are actually paedophiles who want the whole of western society to accept that young children are sexual beings. This is sick and twisted. Of course children are sexual beings and should be allowed to develope naturally by interacting with each other and humans SLIGHTLY older than them, BUT they should NOT be seen as available sexually.

no i think that living in a society that uses sex to sell everything

but is always telling you that sex is evil causes sexual dieviance.

think about it. everything that we have for sale unless it is marketed to the very young is sold with some form of sex or temptation. you do not see un-attractive people doing commercials for products. yet everywhere that you turn we are told to cover our bodies, sex is taboo. and this causes a psychological problem.

did you know that most of the serial killers that we have done a diecent analysis on have been victems of sexual repression at some point in their life.

Certainly, seeing a lot of sex on tv can get a kid thinking a lot about sex. However, kids of past times weren't so sheltered. Kids growing up on farms (which most kids did prior to the 1900's) would have seen plenty of sex between the animals in the yard. Kids growing up in one room houses (as many kids did prior to modern times) would have heard activity from their parent's beds, no matter how discreet their parents tried to be. TV may portray more different kinds of sex that most people would never have thought of otherwise, but these forms of sex would have little appeal to most people. The good old days were not always so good.

Wow, this question makes me experience completely hated and attacked, and that i'm no longer even thoroughly gay. pay attention, i'm able to being attracted the two romantically and bodily to the two women and adult males. it particularly is no longer an uncontrollable sexual urge, it particularly is in basic terms a blindness to organic and organic intercourse whilst it includes love. If the guy I fell in love with replaced right into a woman, that ought to by skill of definition placed me right into a lesbian relationship, and that i could be there out of love, no longer in basic terms arousal. intentionally or no longer, this question means that as quickly as I even have dated women, I even have seen them in basic terms as intercourse products, and that in simple terms isn't authentic. it particularly is insulting, actual.

Well here's what I think.People let themselves be swayed by what they see on TV and on the net.I know we all have needs but damn people just because you see it doesn't mean you should do it!!! If a hot chic or gorgeous guy jumped off a bridge would you do it too? Lame if you answer yes.Think for yourself, you'll be better off not calling those numbers,or numbing yourself by watching it on TV or the net!

There's a lot of sex on TV now and I think everyone is affected. By the time a child is 10, they will have seen a lot of things that they really shouldn't have.

stop being so sensitive! what's wrong with you??? don't you have a mind of your own?
I get sexually influenced by walking down the street looking at people, BECAUSE I'm HUMAN! We are sexual beings! it's not bad its just human nature.

i definitely think so. not with those you listed for me personally but primetime tv has become so nearly r-rated and suggestive that it makes me want to call up some old boyfriends for a quick "meeting." it's horrible, but true!

Probably. I'm sure the recent increase in bisexual women was influenced by popular culture. Not that there's anything wrong with that though!
