My greatest challenge occurred 10 years ago when I had a recurrence of cancer which became advanced and metastisized throughout different places on my body. I endured a 7 1/2 hr operation and 49 staples in my stomach and lower abdoman area. I had the elders of the church pray over me and anoint me with oil which really made my faith strong. I went to Indiana University Medical Center in Nov-Dec 96 where the doctors told me I had a 40-50% chance. I went through 2 augmuous stem cell rescue transplants and two rounds of high dose chemotherapy. I was in the transplant ward at North5 where my immune system and blood counts were knocked down to nothing. Thank My Dear Heavenly Father and the doctors, I was declared cancer free on Dec 21st of 96 and my faith in God was rewarded. I am so happy today as I have found the woman of my dreams and the love of my life. We recently met up in Indianapolis where we talked to a friend of ours named Gary and gave him some hope and inspiration. We also prayed for him in agreement. I have never been more challenged than enduring cancer and coming out to the other side to live and be happy and I've never felt so good than having God lead me to this fine young man and try to help him. I know that the Lord was smiling down on us that day.
