She may have ear mites or an ear infection. The best thing for you to do is take your dog to the vet. Any ear problem can end with your dog becoming deaf. My rottweiler gets ear infections because she loves to lay in water troughs and shallow puddles. I live in Texas and since she's black and gets so hot- it's hard to stop her from seeking relief in the water. Also she digs holes and lays in those and dogs can get ear mites from sandy areas.

If I wasn't a vet- my rott would cost me big.

I have a 9 year old rottweiler who has always done this. She also seems to have ear problems when she comes inside from the cold. She will shake her head and whine, so watch out for that. If you live somewhere that gets cold don't leave the dog outside too long. I recently took her to the vet and asked the vet about this and was told that rottweilers are known to have particularly sensitive ears. Also if your dog rubs her whole face with his paws or a long side of furniture it might be an allergy to something. I would take the dog to the vet just to make sure its not ear mites but if it is ear mites you'll see brownish dirt looking stuff in the ears. Look in the dogs ears and make sure they aren't red and check for the mites. If everything looks O.K. it is most likely nothing but if you can afford to see a vet go.

Do you have foxtails (weeds) whereyou live? If so that is probably It. One is inthe ear ,see a vet . Water in the ear also, or bugs. Ear mites, fleas, I had a dog that had a spider in it's ear. To proper diagnose need more info , color ,smell, etc. Claen the ear w/ minerol oil . Use cotton balls & wipe the inner ear w/ ball rapped around finger. NO Q-TIPS!! This is regular ear maint. If problem continues or there,s blood on cotten see vet.

forget approximately approximately breeding her and get her spayed. there is not any could dock her tail or crop her ears - they're the two very painful and un-needed operation. in spite of the certainty that the breed everyday of the Rottweiler says it may well be docked, now's no longer the time. Docking of a canines tail could be achieved till now the age of 11 DAYS previous. tell your buddy she is an fool for even thinking cropping the ears of her Golden Retriever. it is in simple terms stupid. With the German Shepherd muddle, docking the tail and cropping the ears isn't needed. No, the ears of the German Shepherd domestic canines won't "immediately" crop them self.
