They are all parts of the brain.

The medulla is a continuation of the spinal cord.
Function - Automatically adjusts body functions and regulates the reflexes of swallowing, coughing and vomiting.

The hypothalamus lies just below the thalamus.
Function - Controls body activities concerned with homeostasis and regulates the release of hormones from the pituitary gland.

The cerebellum lies under the rear part of the cerebrum.
Function - Exercises control over posture and balance and the fine co-ordination of voluntary muscle movement.
