I was a rebel growing up, too. Are you sure your parents won't let you become what you want to be or is it that they won't let you do what you want to do right now? There is quite a big difference in the two things. They may not be supportive of the things you want to do or even the people you hang out with, but when the time comes and you get out on your own, you can do and be whatever you want to. Try to remember that your parents job is to protect you and raise you to live on your own in this life. If you are truly passionate about your goal, you will acheive it one day with hard work and dedication.

you have control over yourself and your actions. NOT anyone else. If you want to be a rebel all your life, that choice is yours, If you want to become somthing special, that choice is also up to you.
Nothing is certain in life and sometimes you may plan that you "want" to be one thing, but sometimes it doesn't work out. So you just keep trying until you find out what works for you. Doesn't mean that you have to be a rebel, or lash out or feel like a failure. Real successful people in life get where they are through hard work and perseverance, not by being a rebel.

Your parents are there to guide you and being that you are of school age and under their roof, they feel that they are doing what is in your best interest. You can become whatever it is that you want to be.

Youth is the time when we toil with the idea of what we want to do, and sometimes even experiment with that idea. Your chosen profession may not be popular or feasible in the years to come. Every day profession change and so may the one that you chosen.

Take for instance the shoe making industry. No longer does the average cobbler sit and and tediously sew shoes by hand. The age of machinery changed all of that. That, of course, is not to say that that person was no longer able to apply their trade, but they had to adapt to changes, that more than likely, surpassed their skills. So, you see, it is to your parents that you should sit down with and get all the statistics on projections of longevity for the prospective profession that you anticipate.

Don't be so hard on them or yourself. Having a profession does not mean that you can not acquaint yourself with all the other aspects that go along with it. So, I challenge you to also learn the financial and the marketing aspect of your chosen profession. Take it and pick it apart and learn everything that you can about it, not only that part that you may find glamorous or easy to accomplish.

Ultimately, you have to decide for yourself how you will act and you will decide your own destiny.

There's a saying in physics, "Every action has an equal and opposite reaction". If you take up a weapon and kill someone there's a good chance the reaction that occurs is going to be quite big, and negative against you. That's not going to help you be what you want to be, unless you want to be a serial killer.

If you want something more refined, then you are probably going to have to work at it. If you want to be a musician or a composer, then it'll take hard work to learn an instrument and to read music. Using a weapon won't help you again that goal.

If you want to be a doctor, or a lawyer, then it takes commitment and drive! You have to want it, and you have to commit to it! It takes hard work, learning and taking certification tests.

It doesn't take much drive to be a leach off someone else, raiders and pirates of old lived off stealing the hardwork of others. It takes hard work and saccrifice though to build with your hands, to grow crops, to make true music, to protect another person who is in peril, or to design and manufacture something.

I do not know what you desire to be, as you are a little vague. However, if you want to really be something, you have to really want it, and you have to consider the saccrifice to get it, and the hardwork to get you there!
