shiny black lava rock. Allthough it's not really a rock, it's lava settlement. I'm sure it has an earlier meaning but in today's world it is a low grade stone used in jewelry and the higher grades have been used in the past as tools, much like flint was because it has been tempered and stands up pretty good under pressure.
