How much money do you need to make per year to be content?

I'd be satisfied with about $40,000 per year, which is a bit less than what I'm actually making.

The more you make, the more you want: you buy a bigger house, a more expensive car, take more expensive vacations.
To be content, probably $70K. To be really happy, much more than that.
