How can I protect myself from these crooks? I know he was indicted along with some city officails and some morgage people, he tried to steal 1,400,000.00 in mortgages in kansas city. Will the IRS or FBI try to get his property? I remember that when I used to pay them before they closed one of the guys put the check I payed him in his pocket .
I would love to pay off what I owe but they disappeared for three months I did not know where to make my payment. Now that I know he is in jail , who get's the money? They never sent a letter they only called to get me to pay three mos after they closed. I would love to find a contract to protect me so when I do pay off the truck about 2500...I get the title.

Sounds like you purchased your truck from a used car dealership that finances their own sales. New car dealerships require outside financing, although many of them have a prefered lender (such as FOMOCO for Ford and GM Financial for General Motors dealers).

Your best bet is to consult an attorney to see if you have legal claim to the vehicle. It's not yours until the seller endorses the title to you, and you in turn register the vehicle with the state.

This becomes a civil matter. You do owe money, but to who? That is the question. If the business was set up as a corporation, then the money is owed not to the previous owner, but to the businesses creditors. You need to find out if the company is in bankruptcy or what the status is. You should talk to someone in the Attorney General's office about this and it might require you to get an attorney to straighten the matter out. I would insist that the title be kept by a finance company or a bank in escrow, that way you will get the title once the vehicle is paid off.

Titled? From whom?
You need to contact an attorney to see if you even have a valid claim on this vehicle and if a title can be obtained before you soak anymore money into it.
And if you can get a clear title..--get a quick loan thru a bank and pay these people off....pronto..

if i were you i would contact a lawyer for one she can be receiving money from you and he could turn around and say he didn't get nothing and if you cant show proof you paid him or that it was there fault that u cant contact them they might have the contract and show you still owe them and they can sue you and probably get int rest
