Hes no longer registered with ebay (probably got deleted by them) and he wont return my emails!!!
So now Im stuck with this mobile that I need to use but cant - how can I unlock it? Its a Samsung SGH-X670.

Check with local independent cell phone shops. They usually have equipment to unlock phones or know where to direct you to get that type of service.

When you say "locked" are you referring to a password that he added to the phone, or are you meaning the phone is locked to a certain network (other than the network you use, i.e. T-Mobile)? If the latter, you will need to contact Samsung, requesting a "SIM Subsidy Unlock Code". If it is the former situation, good luck.

You might have to buy something to unlock it with, although I am unsure of what it is called. You can try the phone company or file a report with eBay. If you have enough information and still can't get the phone to work you might be able to take him to small claims court to get your money back. Save all e-mails you write and he returns, if any. Save receipts also if you plan to go to court.

try calling the customer service and tell them you're little brother locked and you can't unlock it... my dad accidently changed my mom's phone to spanish only and they walk her thru the steps to fix it... if they ask for a password say you're "brother" must have changed it :o)
