Yes, Look at the recent success with teams with ''the two headed monsters'' EX. Bears, Saints. Peterson and Lewis have two different running styles. They will use Lewis for the 3rd down and 4 run because of his strong running ability and Peterson the rest of the time. Face it the Browns have showed intrest in Frye and want to give him another year. Yes Peterson 2008 NFL 1st round draft pick.

I have to agree with Preston - if they are smart then they will. Jamal Lewis may be only 27 but if you watch him run he is a mere shell of himself - that's why the Browns only signed him to a 1 year deal.
This way if they draft Peterson - he has a mentor. It's very difficult for a rookie back to come in an be able to carry 20 times a game. There are exceptions to the rule - however in most cases it's best for a rookie to be protected and have the mentor.
Also the 2 back system is for real. It's all about durability. That's why Julius Jones has been splitting time with Marion Barber, Corey Dillion with Lawrence Maroney, and etc. It's vital to keep your older back healthy and give him reps so he can make his contract bonuses, as well as letting your rookie take some hits and get some experience under his belt.
It's a process...Rome wasn't built overnight.

in my view they ought to and that i nonetheless have self belief it truly is what they are going to do. the reason why i imagine that they signed Jamal Lewis became to furnish Adrian Peterson a Veteran mentor and because maximum communities are operating offenses that take advantage of two operating backs. Its the hot type contained in the NFL. Adrian Peterson is going to be the perfect expertise on the board come draft day and that i doubt the browns intend to make an identical mistake that the Texans did. Theres yet another issue, the Saints already had an elite again in Deuce McAlister even as they drafted Reggie Bush yet they only couldnt pass up on the perfect expertise on the board so as that they drafted him besides even inspite of the truth that they could have used something else more suitable than yet another operating again and it worked out large having both on an identical team.

If he is there, without question they will draft him. Jamal Lewis has proven to be worse and worse with each year since 2003. Peterson is a franchise back, while Jamal will be a starter and a mentor... as ironic as that is. Peterson is the real deal and will be huge for a franchise that needs to just let Droughns retire. If they he is there and they don't draft him that will be a big surprise to many

They do 1 of 3 things:
1) Draft Peterson since they only signed Lewis to a 1 year deal.
2) Draft a QB instead, maybe Quinn.
3) Trade the draft pick for players and/or additional picks.

The Browns should draft peterson. Instincts say they will take Calvin Johnson after signing Jamal Lewis. You can not have 3rbs who want to play on one team. The browns do not need anymore problems than what they have already. Which is not being really good.

Might still happen the Lewis deal is only for 1 year and he is also a completely different type of back then Lewis. Though my person prefrence would be to get Thomas or Anderson and shore up the offensive or defensive line.

I highly doubt it since they are paying Lewis 3.5 million but 2 good running backs is not a bad idea now a days. But when you consider they absolutely sucked last year, how can they not be looking for help in other positions now that running back is filled. So look for them to draft someone else, I dont know if you want to go with Charlie Frye or whatever.

I think they will draft either Joe Thomas or Cj due to their freakish athletic ability. Imagine Cj, Braylon, and Winslow as their starters. Depending on how much they love Frye they also might draft Quinn. The thing with Peterson is he is going to have to learn how to dodge the big hits and not try to run over everybody.
