Their goaltender change will have NO affect on their Cup run, unless Miller gets hurt. He was better than Biron, and they were going to ride him anyway. That said, if something DOES happen to him, they are done. Conklin isn't going to overcome their average defense like Miller can. My money is not on Buffalo pulling it off this year, but it has nothing to do with their goalie situation.

No, not at all. You don't need 2 good goalies to win in the playoffs. Only one team does it every.. 4, maybe 5 seasons that they change goalies in the playoffs, look at Carolina from last season when took out Gerber after being down 2-0 in the series vs Montreal, then putting in Cam Ward, which eventually won the Stanley Cup. Sabres got a good, and consistent goalie in Ryan Miller. He is very agile, and has great reactions. Sabres also go the most goals in the NHL, which is why Biron won so much actually. But Ty Conklin is still a capable backup, and he isn't as bad as everyone thinks he is. He has played on 2 crappy teams, and that's why his record is so bad. How many good players could you name on his last team, the Columbus Blue Jackets? Nash and Zherdev? Probably about it. That's why he can't win, Columbus is horrible. They got great offense in Daniel Briere, Thomas Vanek, Maxim Afinogenov (When he returns from his injury, which is the 1st month of April), Jason Pominville, and the newest return from his injury, the former Avs player, Chris Drury. They also got good defense in Brian Campbell, Jaroslav Spacek, Nathan Paestch, Henrik Tallinder, and others. So, I see them still a very big contender, and Connolly should be back later on, hopefully, and I see the Sabres going to the Stanley Cup, and winning it in a clean sweep.

I was surprised by the trade of Biron for a 2nd round draft pick. Buffalo had all around great depth. Biron was a nice insurance policy to have in net.

Ryan Miller is young and not injury prone but in a season when the team has really gelled you have to wonder at the decision to move a valuable veteran. An early 2nd round draft pick is nice but not if Miller were to pull a groin and you went to war with Ty Conklin.

Buffalo is still a favorite. As long as Miller doesn't get hurt and or tired from playing every single game it won't matter. Hey guys, finish each series in 4 or 5!!!

No, they're still the #1 or #2 seed coming out of the East. I think it'll hurt not having that solid backup to turn to but it's good mentally for Ryan Miller not to have Biron looking over his shoulder any more.

no..i think they've still got a great shot at Stanley.
Biron is gone, but MIller is a great goalie. If he stays fit and if the team plays well, they should do great. Campbell, Brierre, Drury and other players have really got a great seaosn going. I don't think they'll let the goalie situation get in the way.

They are still a contender, but Miller may be exhausted from being over played.

After last nights "unassisted goal" for Florida against the Flyers,
I would say he won't hurt their chances
