I hate the taste of water. I think it tastes nasty, and I only drink one glass a day if that much. I need to drink more water but i can't because its a big chore because I don't like the taste. Can you train yourself to drink water? Do you know of a flavored water that doesn't leave a bad after taste?

Try to drink one to two ounces more water per day. It may seem gradual at first, but this will introduce your body slowly to larger amounts of water, and as you do so, decrease the amount of soda, juice, or other drinks that you consume by the same amount that you've increased your water consumption.

Personally, I like water to begin with. However, try to drink bottled water -- even though it's a little more expensive, it's usually cleaner and tastes better than tap water (I like CrystalGeyser water the best because it doesn't leave an aftertaste like Arrowhead and other waters do). Leave a jug of water in the fridge at all times, and then you'll always have cold and great tasting water available. (And at the same time, throw out all the soda that you have and buy only small containers of natural juices, like Tropicana orange juice or Martinelli's apple juice. This will decrease your urge for sweet drinks by allowing you to avoid them, at least at home.)

Another great idea is to take some fresh mint leaves and to crush them and put them in a strainer in a cup of water along with a spoonful of honey. After allowing the leaves to steep in cold water for about an hour or in hot water for about five to ten minutes, you'll have a delicious tasting and healthy water drink. (And remember that tea is also very good for you too!!)

By making small, gradual changes to your lifestyle and habits, you'll be able to dramatically increase the amount of water that you drink. It may seem hard at first, but believe me, it's worth it -- you may need a lot of willpower, but it will increase your endurance and your body will thank you!! :D

Good luck -- I hope that this helps you! I'm wishing you the best of luck in your endeavor!! :D

First thing first! We really do need to drink water atleast
ten to twelve glasses per day to remain hydrated and plus
our body is 75% water and I am told our brain is 90% water,
so you see the importance of water but you should also
remember that drinking lots of water though good puts lot
of strain on kidneys. So what is the solution? We need to
drink 10 to 12 glasses because of eating cooked, salty and
spicy food. If you change over to raw foods like only 1 or 2
variety of citrus food for breakfast, 3 to 4 variety of vegetables
along with sprouts with a twist of fresh lime juice and honey
and it tastes great. Ofcourse it is imperative that you should
be hungry also. This is your lunch. For supper have 1 or 2
variety of sweet fruits.
If you live on this uncooked food for only one week you will
notice that you don't need to drink water at all. If this sounds
difficult then buy yourself e-mug which within one minute
changes the taste of water to like spring water and you will
never have to grumble about inspid taste of tap water.
Good luck!

Yes, you can train yourself to drink water. I had to. My job allowed for only a 30 minute break each day, and I got sick (hospital) due to lack of hydration. I now take a bottle of water to work each day, and sip on it every so often in the classroom, and when I'm on playground duty. I hate the taste also, but am amazed at how much I can drink just by having these continual sips. There is no way I can drink a whole glass of water at once, YUK, but I sip nearly 2 litres each day!

It is mind over matter. You need a substantial amount of water for your health. If you need to add a little something try Crystal Light. For instance: From 8AM-12Noon drink a 32 oz bottle of water with Crystal Light in it. Then from 12Noon to 5PM drink 32oz of plain water. After the sweetness of the Crystal Light you will appreciate the water. But above all take it one day at a time. You cannot change overnight, but good for you for trying to be healthy! Remember, water will keep your system and organs flushed - it's a must, especially with the kidney! Yes, it's a chore but take it one day at a time. If you mess up, start again the next day. Good luck!

I dont really like the taste of water my damn self. I mean I exercise so I end up drinking it. Sometimes if you do anything strenuous ur body actually craves water. But I dont expect you to burn your body out to get your daily filling, so try Propel fitness water. It tastes great. Its made from gatorade. The raspberry or berry one is good. Then what you do is incorporate water in the process. That way you are getting your daily fix..

You can now buy flavoured straws!

For water or milk.

Or you could carry a bottle of flavoured water around with you wherever you go. Even leave one in your car.

Refill a bottle of water and take it with you as you would your keys, mobile phone or wallet.

It's amazing how much you drink when it's at your fingertips.

Yes I do. Propel water is so good and it's flavored. I drink it every day at school with my lunch. I suggest the lemon flavor or the strawberry kiwi.
