For a girl we love the name Emilie Elizabeth. Our last name Begins with a W. If we name our girl that her Initials would be EEW. Do you think she would get made fun of for those initials, or would most people just focus on her name?

For a boy we like Josef Ethan so those initials would be JEW. What do you think about the child having those initials.

I would not worry what other people would think--if you like the name then use it. Those are both really nice names, and it would be a shame for you not to use them just because of the initials. So many people have crazy or even silly initials and it really does not mean anything. And, I really don't think anyone would make fun of your daughter or your son because of it. Those names are beautiful and that would be the focus.

Maybe you should think about other names so that it wouldn't become an issue for the child futher on in life. Because having the initials as eew is what kids call something that is smelly and j.e.w. that can also be used to make fun of even in adulthood. I speak from experience because my brother's initials is t.i.t, sorry my mother was not thinking about the initials when naming him he was named after great grandfather but with a different last name and I have a cousin who's initials is t.l.c. pretty cute but he hate it always get made fun of.

Well...I think the JEW thing would be made fun of more than EEW...With Emilie Elizabeth, it's a beautiful name, I think people would focus more on her name than her initials...and she'll probably have a sense of humor about it anyhow since she'll have such a pretty name...
Josef Ethan on the other hand will be a boy of course, and boys are a little more teasing...especially with JEW...I'd call him Ethan Josef, it flows better anyhow. He could even go by EJ then.

I dont think initials really matter. half my friends dont even know my middle name so they would never even know my initials. and if kids want to make fun of your kid then they will. its terrible to say, but true. they dont need a funny name or funny initials to be picked on. go with the names you like. I would however spell Josef Joseph instead.

I don't think it is a good idea. Maybe Amelie Elizabeth and Ethan Josef? Or maybe throw in another middle name Emilie Elizabeth May W..... and Josef Ethan Thomas W..... My sister is S.O.B. and she caught some heat for that (Son Of a B......) and my other was CAB and was called Cabby. I was PEB (that's why Pebble.)

I have a friend with the initials JEW. He's proud of it but hes a weird little man. If you like those names and you think your child would too go for it.

That was one of the rules in my baby name book, it said you should not name a child where the intials would spell out an unflattering name.

I know a girl named Kassidy Keira Kendrick
(Would you want your name to spell out KKK?)
She is so ashamed of her intials. She doesn't even like to say what her middle name is to people but in the highschool year book there her full name was printed underneath her picture and she was so upset.
I wouldn't want to do that to my child and that was an 18 year old girl at the time when that was in our highschool yearbook. Just think it over before doing something like that.
Those are nice names you have picked out but going by the intials it just wouldn't be right.
Good luck

you would be able to desire to place initials on a large form of issues at school. So i might by no potential try this. it somewhat is basically a sprint too plenty over the line. And sorry, i don't look after the call Jude Elijah. Liam is okay. Ella Elisabeth is gorgeous, yet i might positioned the "z" in, as a substitute of the "s". i admire Emma, yet not with Juliana...too many a's on the tip in a row. does not bypass properly.

These are nice names, but you have to think of the initials. Maybe choose different middle names.

Emilie Beth ?
Josef Nathan ?

I think it depends on the child and how much they actually get teased about it. My initials are ALC and a lot of people used to call me alci (as in alcoholic). I didn't like it, but I didn't let it bother me because I'm proud of my name. If you find out that your child gets teased for his/her name, talk to him/her about it and they will feel better. I think any name will be a problem these days. Kids are so mean and will find something to say about anything and everything. As long as you talk to your child, he/she will understand that the kids who tease are just bored or trying to get attention.

good luck and congrats!
