Our three week old is feeding nonstop the last 36 hours and waking at night every 2 hours. We presume she is in a growth spurt. How long can we expect this to last?

Growth spurts tend to last for a few days a week at most. It's key to foster & nurture them as much as possible during this time to ensure they grow.

Also, you can expect this to last for some time, even up to several years old & sleeping more..

At 3 weeks, our baby's spurt lasted about 3 or 4 days =)

wow 7-9 oz.. My infant is two and a a million/2 months and in user-friendly terms beverages 4 oz. at a time each and every 4 hours. Did your infant in basic terms start up eating this lots at a time if so then that feels like a growth spurt and could final a pair of day.

My baby woke every 2 to 3 hours for the first 6 weeks of her life, then she slowly started to sleep for longer stretches. With regards to grow spurts, they would generally last about 3 days.

Every day gets easier, take care of yourself :)

I know there is a major growth spurt at 3 weeks, another at 6 weeks ( these tend to kinda mesh together) then another at 3 months, lasting about 10 days or so....then he should be back to hisself.

a 3 week old infant is supposed to wake every 2-3 hours and eat. as they get older it will gradually become less and less. wait a few months and maybe your baby will sleep through the night.

good luck and congrats!

Generally about 3 days, then your milk has increased to meet the demand. Hang tough, it gets better!
