i think it's better b/c kids get a much better education. y niece is homeschooled and is a straight A student when her mom went to work at a school she let her go there for the school yeAR AND SHE REMAINED A STRAIGHT A STUDENT and was a better student than most of the kids there. her mom is again homeschooling her and she loves it. she did like interacting w/ other kids and that's the only difference but now they have groups where the kids who are homeschooled in the same area can meet and go on field trips so i would definetely recommend it. you have make sure you can commit the time though. my niece is always around other children and it works out. when she went to public school she couldn't believe the morals of these kids. for those of you who are screaming a/b socialization she learned alot a/b how promiscuous most of those kids were. if you instill good moral values to your kids they will make it anywhere. i'll take homeschool anyday over kids learning a/b sex acts and bracelets at school or getting beaten up for their clothes. which is still happening.

Homeschooling is great! I'm in the 8th grade, and I've always homeschooled. I go to a tutorial where my teachers give me my homework for the rest of the week. A lot of people stereotype homeschoolers as weirdos, but I have tons of awesome homeschooled friends. Hope it works out for ya!

I think there are certain situations in which homeschooling can be a better method, particularly if the public school provides sub-par education or there is sickness or traveling often. However, many of my friends and I advocate public schooling for its social opportunities as well as the sort of "survival skills" it seems to provide (mostly social as well: leadership, competition, etc.).

Oh no, I mean kids should be able to socialize with other kids on a daily basis. There are some things that you are going to learn at school like life experiences and peer pressure that would enable kids to be able to learn how to choose right from wrong on their own. And of course parents should always be there to be a second conscience and also help guide and direct them.

I've been home schooled for 8 years. The whole thing about home schooled youngsters not being able to interact with others is a joke, I'm fine at school(I started this year). I am interacting with other age groupes much better than my freinds, too. I'd say it would be better to be home schooled.

The correct term for home school is home educate.

I suggest you start being home educated.

well, I think for grammar school a child should be exposed to how other kids react to each other.Maybe a private or catholic elementary.. but high school is tough, the kids are mean and some are dangerous.
But I do think as youngsters they need exposure of other children.

Don't agree with it. I feel a child should go to regular school and be among kids his own age.
