Having complete control over all your thoughts, actions.

Taking responsibility of your education, career and personal growth all by yourself.
Also being responsible and taking care of your parents, siblings and people who depend on you.

Behaving in such a way that whole society respects you.

Having high moral values and leading a very disciplined life are the characters of an Ideal adult.

But many people say you should stop having fun, playing that is wrong, whatever you do should have meaning and make sure everyone like your presence.

All the best.

I don't know if growing up has to do with having a job and paying bills. OK I mean I don't have a job, but I pay bills and I have two sons and I am grown up...to a degree. I still listen to loud music and play on my computer and I am 33. I think it is a perfectly normal thing for all adults to have some kid in them.

Making intelligent choices. All behavior can be regarded as volutary actions. If you choose to act in a ways that result in short AND long term benefits for yourself, and those around you, that is pretty mature. Even better is to take responsibility for your all your actions and admit and correct mistakes quickly. It's amazing how rarely that occurs in the real world. When it's done sincerely, people really notice and respond positively (unless they're really immature).

Growing up involves moving out of your parent or gaurdian's house into your own home. Paying one's own bills and working at a job where you earn income is also part of growing up.
