It's actually the 4T65E-HD.
All of the 3800 supercharged engines use this transmission.

The HD version has more durable internals and a way stronger differential as opposed to the non-HD. This is to stand up to the increased power of the supercharger.

4T65E-HD

The transmissions are essentially the same from 97-02 with a few minor changes throughout the years. The 99+ models use different transmission line fittings.

If you are looking for a used transmission www.car-part.com can usually find a good cross reference for you.

It would be a 4T65-E transaxle. It can be ID by the fact the elec conn is located at the very top of bell-hsg between the two bolts.Buick. Pont, Olds , Chevy FWD cars use this trans, but the final drive ratios vary between models.

4T65-E. Most GM 3800 vehicles since 1999 have that trans. However there are many versions that differ with the final drive gear ratio, the drive chain drive and driven sprocket ratios, the valve body calibration, and the torque converter stall speed.
They are very trouble free units and when there is a problem they are very fixable. What do you have in mind?
