I have a one gallon beta fish bowl and I am thinking about putting 3 or 4 guppies in there. Is that possible or is the bowl too small or will my beta fish go crazy or so?

I wouldn't for 2 reasons. Number one is water quality. Even theough the betta breathes air, they still have to live in the filth from the wastes (hopeful NO3 not NO2 or ammonia). Secondly, male guppies have long colorful anal fins. The betta may attack them. Avoid any fish with long flowing fins and the betta is usually okay (often times on the other end of the aggression if the fish decide to take him out, I've had more bettas killed by other fish than the other way around).

Depends up to some extent. If you put some male guppies, then there will be a very aggressive fight. The betta will rip off his fins as they are big, colourful and flowy. The betta will fight with any fish which resembles of his type.Where as the female betta has a small, single coloured and less flowy tail.It depends on the character of the betta coz my betta had no problem when I put a female guppy in.But when I put a male guppy in,the guppy died within a day.

There isn't too many fish you can put in with beta as they are fighters.I had one in with my gold fish until the gold fish got to big and they killed it.so my advice is not to.and you'll have to put a top over your bowl as they will flip themselves out but make sure it has holes into it.

WAAAAYYYY too small. The betta is a good fit for a 1 gallon bowl with proper care, but nothing else.

I wouldnt. As you know Betas are loners and dont like company. I put ghost shrimp in my Betas bowl and he ate both of them within 30 minutes.

Bettas don't mind company usually, but unless your betta bowl is aerated, the guppies won't survivie.

Too small. If you decide to put like one fish in there, make sure there are no betas. you know they'll eat them alive!

Yeah cuz Guppies have big showy fins and the Betta will feel as if it has competition and will rip up your guppies. so don't do it, trust me, you don't want to.
