I think marriage is great and it's sacred. And that's why any two people who love eachother should get to enjoy it

They want to make gay people less important, not equal to them. They want gay people to be second class citizens.

Ironically, its not the real straight people who are against (what is stupidly called by the west as gay marriage) but those who hardly deserve to be known as straight.

Most straight men have a sexual feeling for men, and they do somewhere resent the hostility created in the straight space by the forces of heterosexualisation, because male-male sexuality has been isolated and banished in a separate 'homosexual' space by the forces of heterosexualisation, after they weakened men by destroying male spaces (by heterosexualising them).

This has given these forces free run in the straight spaces, and they define it at their whims and fancies. Thus manhood gets defined in an anti-man way.

It is these vested interests of the forces of heterosexualisation (which although are not more than 20% of men's population taken together), but who are extrememly powerful because these vested interests are the only ones in the community with the power to speak. Otherwise the straight community is voiceless to speak on or own up its same-sex needs and even supporting the cause of male-male sexuality needs is stigmatised.

Thus they are seen as representing the 'straight' community.

However, its women who in large majority oppose male-male sexuality and they turn the votes against male-male marriage. Because these marriages threaten women's invisible power adn privilege that they have so long enjoyed.

It is an oppressive system where women get to decide on men's issues and vice versa.

I'm straight and I don't care at all. I think there are many divide and conquer tactics going on in the media. Conservative/Liberal, Gay/Straight, Black/White, Rich/Poor I could go on, and on, and on. I've never met many people on either extreme on ANY of these topics. When you get down to it we're all Americans and I think we all want FREEDOM! Freedom means that my neighbor has a right to live a life other than my own.

Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness!!

People need to start thinking on their own. Don't let Fox, Cnn and MSNBC do your thinking for you.

I'd extend the question even further. Why do heterosexuals care what homosexuals do, at all? Or the other way around? Neither group actually compete with each other in the most important way, for sexual partners, so why be interested?

Now, I can understand why both groups would take an interest in bisexuals.

I agree, I'm straight but I think if two people can be happy, truly happy then what difference does it make if it's same sex. You just don't see many happy people. let them alone and find something that makes you sooo happy that you don't care what other people do.....

I don't mind at all. Live and let live. If we all stopped trying to impose our will on each other, the world would be much more peaceful and pleasant!

I agree with you. I don't like seeing men kiss, but just because I don't doesn't mean they shouldn't be allowed to pursue their happiness. Maybe they don't like seeing me and my wife kiss, so who am I to judge them?
