Yes, An employer can take taxes out for any additional benefit.

Take taxes out of what? Your paycheck? If the empolyer bought the company vehical, they shouldn't have to pay taxes on it to begin with, however if you use it for personal pleasure, they do have some rights if they lose their tax-exempt status on it.

If you use it for any kind of personal use, including commuting, they not only can, they are required to tax you on it. Some employers will pay the estimated taxes on the personal use, but it is not required.

Having the use of a company vehicle has a monetary value and therefore can be considered income and therefore taxed. So yes.
