Yes, I loved it. I agree with Monkeyface about it not being the same when they changed the actress who played Aveline.
But, didn't the actor who played Joey also change? I think the show ended soon after, it just wasn't right.
Poor ma Boswell, what a long suffering woman she was!

Yes I remember Bread. There was always a scene with them eating dinner together at the table and having to put money into the ceramic chicken before they ate, and the excuses some of them used to make for not putting any money in were so funny.

Definately, didn't it have one of those annoying theme tunes that stick in your head for ages! "Gotta get up, gotta get out, grab the world by the throat and shout..." (How sad is it that I still remember that?)

I remember young Billy Boswell, who got the girl across the road pregnant, Adrian the poet, Aveline the model, Joey's leather pants, was the other one called Jack? Freddy Boswell with his wild hair. The woman in the DSS office.

Bet it would seem really dated now.

Yeah Fabulous. Joey in his tight leather pants!! It was my nan's favourite programme. I have seen it on recently as well. I think UK TV gold has it on in the day sometimes.

It was "must see" TV.
I hated missing an episode.
The only time I didn't like is was when they switched Aveline's on us. The replacement actress just wasn't the same.

Yes I remember "Bread." It was pretty naff. It would have seemed that any situation comedy with a scouse accent was deemed funny but I'm afraid that was far from the truth.
