There's no need for you to get embarrased.

Yes, you should be extremely embarrassed that in the year 2007 people are still of a mindset that this question is asked. I know that darker skinned people are viewed somewhat differently in the Philippines, but even there, it has no effect on their character. I know that, as an American, I am prone to imperialistic views that others, the world over, do not necessarily share. I know that where you come from the rules are a bit different than they are in my back yard. That being said, though, right is right and wrong is wrong. The simple fact of the matter is that bad people come in all colors. You can’t tell a bad person by looking at one, but you sure can by listening to them. anyone who makes you feel uncomfortable for the color of your kid’s skin isn’t in the ‘good guy’ camp in my estimation and I would encourage you to treat them accordingly.

As a guidance counselor, i could see that children are very much affected on how people react to them. We could not change how other people will perceive them.

But as parents, we should be able to give them not only love, but assurance that they are accepted that they are beautiful in their own way.

When a child thinks he is beautiful, then he is. it is just a matter of perspective.

Yes,if we are dark there is lot of embarrassment. But don't discourage children for that.Because God has created everyone and GOD will take care of everything.Instead, let ur children concentrate on studies, career,so that when they r well settled, this dark thing vanishes automatically.

You should not be embarassed by the natural color of your children. Everyone is not perfect and you know it.Even the people who are laughing at your children are not perfect.Just don't be taken away by their sayings to your children. Just be yourself and give them your best love that you can give to your children.

Look lady life like that, what did you expect . The people reaction isn't to your children it's to you .They will go thru the majority of their lifes being ridiculed becoz you put them in that situation. Most likely they won't be accepted by society as a whole, due to their color., which is a shame since they are innocent.

no, the color of the skin is not a raison to be embarrass.
If some people look at them "funny" because of their teint, they should be ashamed of themself.
Smart and beautiful people are from all colors - (and stupid people too).
Be proud of your children in any circonstance !

To quote: I feel like people...

Notice your statement, Binibini? You feel. Subjective.

The reality may be different. People may just happen to glance at the children. They may not judge the children at all.

Please note that our perception of our surroundings and what is actually happening may be different.
