Idk its weird, everytime someone from a different place hear the word miami they think its a place for retirement, its a party city, or its dangerous cuz of street gangs. But I just want to know what other people think about it.

I have visited your city on TWO seperate visits. Each time, I did notice "the urban"-feel. Seeing this glass as 1/2 FULL, I will credit this South-East Coast city as dynamic, with an International "zest" that is undeniable.
Having travelled many more times to the PACIFIC Coast (L.A, Cali) and comparing each "feel" to the other, I notice that Miami offers a unique attitude that is more resilient to both a tourist and a business executive in equal measure.

I live a couple of hours away from Miami so we sometimes go for a weekend. They do have all those things in Miami, but when someone says Miami I like to think of all the excellent Cuban food.

I have never been there. But when I hear Miami I think of:
Dolphins NFL football team, Cape Kennedy, the old TV show Miami Vice, and wide beaches.

I've never been to Miami, Fl. I have been to Pensacola, Fl and all around Cocoa, Fl. They are great places to go. But I think Pensacola would be the best place to live after retirement.

I personally always think I'm screwed b/c I took French in High School, so I can't get a word out in Miami.

I live not too far away from Miami.... I rarely go there. You can barely drive anywhere because the streets are so damn congested.... it takes an hour to go 10 miles...

People are not all that friendly.... the gangs are notorious.... it's not all that much fun down there anymore.

I hang out in Palm Beach... much more civilized....

I love Miami and everything about it. The people are great, the atmosphere is awesome, and the shopping is fantastic.
I think it's a lovely place and go as often as I can, which is not often enough.

Fun to visit once in a while, but I would never live in Dade County. It's hot, dirty, traffic is horrendous and people drive like crap. You can get some really good food down there though. ( I live in FL).

ok i have always wanted to go to miami for years. finally last year around this time for spring break i went. let me tell you it sucked. the whole, place is like a dump to me. no one can speak english. i mean iwent to 4 restaraunts with my GF before wefound one whjere a waiter spoke english. then we went to the beach it was more fun but you can only stay s long on a beach. also there is no parking you have to pay to park anywhere and then you have to worry about getting it stolen or stuff stolen out of the car. i paid 10$ to park and then when i got back it was broken into. after tha we hit the road to go to south beach. omfg...... the roads are small narrow and conjested. also i mention noone speaks english. anyway it was an ok place to visit but not to live. to crowded and busy. nice place to party and hang out for a while but like i said not to live.

It's scary scary place! I lived in West Palm, about an hour away, never went there.... I hear some areas are o.k. and some are really nice, just like everywhere, I guess.
