I think hayden christensen is terrible. I hate the way he delivers his lines, but I won't put all the blame on him. I think his part should've been better written. What do you think?

If you can get two bad performances out of Natalie Portman... in a row...you don't deserve to direct films...let alone make billions off the yahoos like me who actually went to see Phantom Menace and the crap that followed. As wooden as Hayden's performance was (damn he made Keaneau seem like the life of the bloody party...in comparison that is..) besides the fact that the script had no bite...no bark...no imagination...and there was no magic...anywhere...watching Hayden mumble and stumble his way through this puerile claptrap...made it clear to me that nothing could have saved these films from the dung heap upon which they now reside.
Lucas has no excuse...for that crap he dropped on us.
But there is one good thing to look forward to...where this sad chapter in storytelling is concerned...Lucas likes to play around with the movies long after they have been seen on the screen. I look forward to him tinkering with the Phantom Menace and that other stuff. This time...any attempt to make a better movie...by tinkering with the finished product...is GUARANTEED...to improve the lot.
No...Star Wars cannot be resurrected by replacing Hayden. Replacing George yes. But Hayden...no.

PS. The Clone Wars animated series...was simply outstanding storytelling. Too bad the live action stuff was stillborn from the moment the opening credits began to run. That was the silver lining in a very dark cloud.

the problems with the movie in general was the dialogue(which was just crap) I feel that the movies were to focused on the special effects and it lacked the heart and soul of the first trilogy. Hayden Christiansen did not act well but I think along with the other actors stuggled with the poor quality of the dialogue.

Perhaps in the near future someone will make a movie Knights of the Old Republic and it will capture the essence of the first trilogy.

Lets just all pretend that the prequels never happened and move on with life...

I agree! Star Wars would have been so much better if Hayden Christensen did not cast in it. I think 'Revenge of the Sith' was terrible...it was disappointing to me. Hayden Christensen did not play 'Anakin' very well. I totally agree with you.

I think that he is a horrible actor and he could not act in any part well except for a serial killer. I think that he sucked in Ep. 2 where he was suppose to be more positive and lively. In Ep. 3, he was suppose to be dark, cold, and distant. I think that this is the best type of role for him. I would never go the the theater where he was the main character unless it was a horror movie. I don't think that guy can act unless he is the bad guy and maybe not even then.

I really liked his development of the character , especially the transition from innocent kid to Vader.
But I've only watched Star Wars since the 70s . . .

Hayden , you were FAB ! thanx

I agree....his lines were awful. Honestly though I think that he did great with what he had to work with. As far as replacing him....I would still keep him. He has grown on me. I couldn't imagine a big name star playing "Anakin"

I think he did a good job, the role was a spoiled, but determined young man, who crakes under pressure, weight of the world that he is suppose to save.

I think casting someone else as director, would have been the only way to save those movies.

Nah.. i don't think so. I think that guy who played Anakin was super hot. I think the lil story lines were dumb. And that chubaka guy. What is that?
