I can't help but wonder why so many men deem it necessary to scratch themselves in public or in front of anyone for that matter. I asked my boyfriend but he just suggested I post this question..so here goes.

I really just wanted honest answers not childish "cuz we can" nonsense.

To the man who asked where I'm at..I live in the eastern part of the U.S. and I don't see this everyday just every couple of months. When they do this it seems they feel no shame at being so rude. When women itch or need to adjust the "girls" whe don't do it in plain sight but in a restroom.

Sometimes the ball sack gets caught and a man needs immediate relief. Sometimes "ol' Ned" needs a little adjustment because the knob skin is rubbing on something very uncomfortable, and sometimes movement creates tortion of the testicles that is very painful.

These unfortunate occurances happen largely because of restriction to free movement caused by the customary societal rule that people wear clothing over their genitalia when in public view.

Sorry on behalf of the male public.... I am very sorry if you and your peers have to suffer a little embarrasment from time to time, when a man adjusts his sack. No intentional adjustment is made in order to make you feel less comfortable, I assure you.

I hope you get worms (only for a maximum of five seconds, darling, I wouldn't want you to suffer) so you can experience an itch that absolutely must be scratched, even when in public.

Your boyfriend is a very polite man. Hang on to him and show some appreciation by rubbing a little calomine lotion on that thing of his for sympathy sake.

Because they itch and it's funny you would ask this question ..a few years ago when i was in college i had to do a paper on human behavior for a pshyc paper and that is the topic i picked to do my paper on.and i was surprised to see the results..99% of men don't even realize that they are doing it..It's just an automatic reaction when the brain gets the signal that you have an itch your mind send out the command to scratch it..In women they know they have a crotch itch and are aware of it and somehow have the ability to sometimes control the message from the brain kinda like running interference..because women have been tought that it is not acceptable behavior to be touching yourself in public..

Could be they have an itch.

Might also be that they are not scratching but pulling at their tighty whities which are buching up in their butt crack. A quick pull of the undershorts from the crotch relieves tightness in the crotch.

I rarely see men (or women for that matter) reaching to their crotch ... unless it's a rapper video. I gather you see this a lot where you are. Where is that ?

No gentleman with proper breeding would do this where there are women around, or where it is visibly obvious. However, the rules seem to change when guys are with guys, it's no big deal then.

Obviously, there are fewer and fewer gentlemen in your neck of the woods.

Wow, these are some really educated questions, you would think for some one who likes to bust other people's balls would ask questions that actually meant something. I knew you were a Hypocrite. So sad, so sad.

I never scratch in public. I scratch when only guys are around. I don't think any guy should when girls are around.

If it itches, I have to scratch it. I will try and be discreet, but it must be addressed

I asked my husband that question a while back. He said that it isn't so much scratching as it is "adjusting"
