ok
1. P= D-23 (the difference in ages is 23 which is 37 - 14)
when will 2P = D (twice of Pams age will be equal to her dads)
therefore 2(D-23) = D
so D = 46: when her dad is 46 and she is 23

2. B= S - 8 (Brother is 8 years younger than Sean 20-12)
Sean was thrice his bros age so 3 times the bros age will be seans age
3B = S
So 3(S-8) = S hence S = 12
When Sean was 12 his Bro was 4 and this was (20-12) = 8 years ago

3. K = A + 5
The sum of their ages is A + A + (A+5) = 53
hence 3A = 48 and A = 16 The twins are 16

Hope this helped

9, 37-14=23 and 23-14=9

8, 20-12= 8 and when Sean was 12 his brother was 4. 12/4=3

Alex + Alicia + Kevin = 53
Subtract 5 from kev so that they will all be the same age.
53-5=48
Divide by 3 cause there are 3 people
48/3=16, the twins are 16 and kevin is 21

2(14+x)=37+x ,20-x=3(12-x) ,a+a+(a+5)=53 I agree with monchicha

pams dad will never be twice her age they both age at the same rate,

no idea on the second

the third's formula would be
(2x)+(x+5)=53
whatever you get for x is the age

Then work out the formulas! TRY at least, provide the closest thing you've come up with so that people can point out where your thinking has gone wrong and where it has gone right.

What are you going to learn by having people give you the information? You're going to have these types of questions year after year and you will always be a slave to others to figure them out for you.

ya know...it is fun to try and help you guys out with your homework....but i gotta say...it is not so fun when CEREBRAL keeps typin ok in response....then, goes and does the problems....and edits his repsonse so it looks like he/she is first. at least some of us are here to help....instead of chasing after POINTS like cerebral...if u so 'cerebral'....then why are you doing that??? you must not be so smart after all. cerebral only worried about points. unlike some of us that are actually doin this to HELP YOU! Cerebral needs to get a life! I'll pray for you tonite hun...since I know you obviously have nothing better to do than race to get points. At least I see your secret! LOSER! Sorry hun...I would do your probs....but I am sure cereb has posted them by now in his/her mad quest to get best answer. Im going to bed.
