Well maybe put them to hard labor, building a wall or fence on the border. Maybe, like they are going to try in Colorado, work in the fields. But they are only going to pay 60 cents a day. I think it is becuase they are already getting free housing and meals, medical, etc.

I don't think we should waste anyones time and money to find out why they offend.

The Wit- Hard core but it might be a possible solution if they don't want to work.

I think that our old Navy ships should be turned into floating prisons. They are just sitting there rusting away. They can be moved out to sea a certain distance, in shark infested waters. Also, do what Sheriff Joe Arpaio is doing in Arizona, use the old military tents and cots, just like our troops do. Put the child molesters in the general population of the prisons, and let nature take its course. These are just a few of my ideas.

The punishment should fit the crime. Our state has them pick up trash on highways but I think we should go further. Let them grow their own food & take care of manual labor jobs for state. Remove air conditioning, cable & magazines from prisons Anything that is a luxury to most should be removed.
Our state just discovered how easy drugs were prescribed including narcotic pain killers & depression medications
(of course they are depressed - they are in prison). They are putting in safeguards but how many new drug addicts do
we have.

Put them in prison. A very low maintenance prison .. as in it has a bed, sink and toilet and that is it. Feed them three meals a day consisting of little more than bread, water, the occasional vegetable and meat. No luxuries. They sit in their cell for the length of their sentence. No leisure time. No social time. No visits. Nothing. If they are sentenced to death they are killed by a firing squad within one month of their sentencing.

Inmates serving multiple life terms should be executed, what is the purpose of keeping them in prison that are over populated. And change the execution laws to where execution is cheap.

Figure out why they become convicts and keep them occupied behind bars such that they have no reason to kill their COs or each other.
