You and your husband should really be on the same page on this before he gets it done. There's some chance it could be reversed if he changes his mind, but it's expensive to have it undone.

Of course, if he does get a vasectomy and later you both decide you want more kids, you could adopt a child. There are a lot of kids out there looking for a good home.

the question I have is what is your ages, and if you had trouble having your other two children then you might want to consider it. Also there are things that women can do, you might want to talk to a gynaecologist and find out what the best thing for you to do. If you want more children I would wait until the doctor gives you the answer you need. But I would see what is best for you first before your husband goes through with this surgery. Then I would consider talking to the doctor together to find the best answer. Also what does your heart say, If your husband has your health in mind then you might take that into consideration too. Love is strong and family is stronger.
Stay healthy and that is the most important thing.

I understand you completely. We have three children and all three pregnancies had problems. I've been thinking about getting a tubal ligation but same as you can't stand the thought of NEVER having any more children. It's a very hard and personnel decision to make.
Truly though, Are we EVER going to be ready to make that decision?
We've discussed it and if your husband is anything like mine. He is worried about your health and the health of any other child you try to have. So try talking to him again and see what his actual REASONS are for having it. Try to listen and understand his reasons. His answers may surprise you and be filled with love and concern. Good Luck and I hope you can both make the decision together.

nonetheless there are not any a hundred% beneficial issues statisticly, the 5 twelve months failure fee of vasectomy is a million in one thousand. ideally you will desire to have waited until he shown a nil count extensive kind below a scope. frequently the authentic possibility would have been your first couple circumstances the place there could be some sperm left interior the plumbing. see as the way you cleared the pipe first, the probabilities would be low, yet as i suggested there are not any beneficial issues the place statistics are worried.

I'm no scientist, but wouldn't it be possible with today's technology for him to save some of his sperm at a sperm bank and then get the procedure done? That way, if you want another child, you could get pregnant via artificial insemination but you won't have to worry about slipping one past the goalie.

You should agree. It is usually reversable now days and if you decided later on that you really really wanted another you could have it reversed. Go ahead and let him get one. I had one 11 years ago and am so glad I did.

It's his choice, just as women have theirs men do also. If a woman is pregnant she is the only one who has a choice. Well this is the one a man has...sorry what is good for the goose is good for the gander.

It can be reversed so it's really no big deal. But it would be a cold day in hell before someone gets near my jewels with a knife. One sneeze & it is no longer reverseable.

Dr. Phil had it done, and then had it reversed as a surprise for his wife when she said she wanted another kid.So it can be reversed, just not easily.

Freeze the sperm and then get one. I believe he just doesn't want an unexpected child, and all that implies.
