Are you clumping amusement parks in with theme parks?

My favorite amusement park would be Cedar Point. Can't go wrong with 18 roller coasters. It has a cool atmosphere to it becasue it is built on a peninsula that protrudes out into Lake Erie. They have a variety of different coasters. Some for beginners (Iron Dragon, Disaster Transport, and Mine Ride) all the way up to the most extreme (Top Thrill Dragster, Millenium Force, and Raptor). Millenium Force and Raptor are probably my favorite coasters here. Power Tower would be my favorite non coaster ride at CP

As far as actual Theme Parks go, I would say that to me Islands of adventure wins hands down. This is a very visual park in Orlando that has very distinct "islands", or lands. Different sections such as Marvel comics land, Jurassic Park land, and Dr. Seus land come to life as you walk through the park. They really did the best job of theming that I have ever seen. They only have a couple of coasters but both are good. Dueling Dragons is an inverted racing coaster. The Hulk coaster also has a couple of good suprises on it. The best non roller coaster ride is an amazing 4-D spiderman ride. Really truly incredible.

I like Knoeble's Amusement Park in Elysburg Pa. It has 2 Roller Coasters. The first on is called the Phoenix and the second in called the twister it has a 99'drop (i think) and if I remember right it goes about 55mph.
I don't care for the Phoenix but I love the Twister.

I have two favourite theme parks!
First being Canada's Wonderland.
Second being Six Flags Darien Lake (Buffalo)

Canada's Wonderland is freaking amazing. Every year they seem to be coming out with a new ride. And, It is always packed! But, you usually still get on the rides!

And yes, Drop Zone is definitely a freaking awesome ride!
It's like 3 seconds long, but, holy heck it's great!

Enjoy.

Cedar Point is my all time favorite amusement park with Magnum XL200 on of my favorite coasters, but since I'm in VA, I'll say that Busch Gardens is my favorite park down here with Apollo's Chariot my favorite coaster in the park. Another favorite coaster though is at Kings Dominion near Richmond VA, with Volcano: The Blast Coaster my favorite ride.

you are obviously from canada, i looked at their website and was not impressed by the variety of coasters. make the trip to cedar point, stay 2-3 days, stay in the hotel breakers or the sandcastle suites, both are in the park facing lake erie. nothing like staying 500 feet from some of the best coasters in the world!! i recommend going around the last week of august. most children are back in school and the park has lower attendence with shorter waiting time in lines.

I'd have to say my favorite park is Magic Mountain in Ca! I haven't been there in quite a while, but I am planing a trip with my niece summer! My favorite coaster tough one man! I've ridden quite a few in my time! Been to every park mention on this page! I know my favorite style of coaster! Steel coaster with wooden coming in second! You know I was young when I rode this one, but I remember it being quite a thrill! The ride name was the Grizzly and is in King's Dominion in Va!
