I have some comic books i was holding on to and was looking to sell when the movie starts to get hype. Is it better to sell before or after the movie comes out?

sit tight on them...I remember my godbrother giving me his whole collection of comic books when I was about 11 or so (between 3 and 4 hundred)...I let them get torn and tattered and gave a lot of them away, in them was a lot of stuff from the late 60s and early 70s...(I still cringe when I think there was a perfect silver surfer one and two in there, as well as many other nice rare comics)

If the hype is Huge, sell before you can cash in on the popularity early. If not, then wait. After the movie is out, if its a huge hit, you'll be able to still sell at good profit. If the hype is small and you don't sell, and if the movie bombs, then throw them in the dumpster or keep them for 20 years until they do a re-make of the movie and try again.

After-since the movie will generate more interest in the comic books and the more of a interest the higher the selling price can be. I'd pay more for the movie made me want it more

After. The average person will think about the comic more after the the movie. It is like advertising. People who fore got about it, will remember it. New people will know about it.
