Is it wrong to keep a secret from my boyfriend? I was born a guy and went through a sex change operation. I seriously felt that I am in the wrong body. Now that I am a girl, I have a really great boyfriend that I love. He loves me too. We are both 28 years old. We've been together for at least 5 years already. Is it wrong to keep that secret from him?

Hi,

Yes this is wrong that you have not told him about this. You should be honest and tell him. Honesty is the best policy and if he is the right guy for you he will love and accept you for you. But if he is not move on with your life without him in it. Take him on the Jerry Springer show if need be if you are too scared to tell him in person or ever try writing him a letter. Good luck to you.

Um...I think that is a bit selfish. I hope u tell him rather thn he find out some other way. That can be very hurtful 2 him... U must not love him 2 much if ur keeping sumthing like that 4rum him. Thats grounds 2 end a relationship...not kewl! Be honest and c where it goes 4rum there

I think you should let him know. Relationships are based on honesty. I know it has to be really hard tho, because of a fear of rejection and all. But if its real love, he wont care. He'll probably be really really ticked at first, just because you took so long to tell him, but after the initial shock wears off, you'll see his true feelings. Have you guys talked about your future? Marriage, kids, etc? Just dont make promises you cant keep. (I know that sounds bad, but it would be a deal breaker for my boyfriend if we couldnt have our own kids, he doesnt want to adopt) things like that.

Good luck!

You should have told him from the start. He could suffer some severe emotional problems when faced with the realization that you were once a man too. This really bothers a lot of people. How could you deceive him for so long?

That is a big secret to hide from him. I'm sure he would want to know. If you love him that much I would find it hard to hide a secret that big. Tell him, because would you want him to keep that kind of secret from you.

Would you want to know if the situation were reversed? It's wrong to deceive someone. You should tell him and be prepared for the possible breakup. I'm quite sure he'll be angry at a minimum.

No don't tell him. He is a straight. It destroy his life if you tell him that I lied you, I was born a guy.
Would you image if he will not forgive you?
Keep secret as you can.

That is VERY VERY wrong. This is the kind of thing you see on Jerry Springer and when the "woman" tells her boyfriend she is really a man, he flips out!!!!!

Personal opinion here is to tell. I would see this as important enough. Would you want him to find out some other way and then explain it?
