Go to eastern europe(russia, poland,) they are getting into pretty big now, in the UK they kind of went out in the early to late 90's, and rave's are now small time and very few and far between,

Rave culture pretty much ended when the millenium came. But raves definately still happen. Especially in Canada and parts of europe. Electronic music has expanded way beyond just trance and house and other "rave" music, so no, they are no longer "in" (which is sad, really). But that doesn't mean you can't still go to one.
