A friend of mine told me that if you sit on something sharp such as a pencil that is sitting straight up you can lose your virginity. I don't believe this.
Another story I heard from another friend was that if you fell down really hard on your stomach you can SOMEHOW get pregnant and have a freakish wrinkly baby

Wow, if you believe these, you need to have the "talk" again. So the answer would be, no and no. Stories sure have evolved a lot since I was a teenager.

Well, the pencil thing is just dangerous, so don't do it! Too many important things up there you could injure. She is probably referring to the piece of tissue that slightly tears when you have sex for the first time, called the hymen. (This is how doctors can tell if you are a virgin) It can tear if anything large enough is put up there, but I wouldnt recommend it. And no! It takes a man and a woman to get you pregnant. Or at the very least your egg and a sperm. So if you dont have sex or some sort of sexual interaction (because there are instances of people getting pregnant without penetration) you can't get pregnant!

Well, if you have a pencil or other object (including a tampon) stuck into your vagina, it can break your hymen...a pice of skin across the inside of your vagina. Some people determine virginity by whether the hymen is intact, but considering it can be broken riding a bike, riding a horse, doing gymnastics, falling...the hymen being intact really isn't a reliable way of determining virginity. You can safely consider yourself a virgin until a man's penis goes in your vagina (which I hope will be a long time from now).
And no, if you fall down on your stomach, that doesn't cause you to get pregnant. Much like losing your virginity, you have to have sex to do that. I think your friends are very misinformed and if I were you I would get my info from my parents or a book about sex and puberty.

Ok... we need to start by defining "losing your virginity" there is a physical difference between a virgin and a non-virgin and an emotional/spiritual difference.
The physical difference is that they "hyman" of a woman gets broken during her first intercourse experience. However, this can get broken if you play sports, or yes, even stick a pencil up there (but I can't image why you would want to do that)
I'm not really going to get into the emotional/spiritual side because that involves a man and being intimate with him - it sounds like you're too young to be doing anything like that... stick to holding hands for now.
As for the falling and getting pregnant thing... No. There is only 1 way to get pregnant - the sperm from a man has to get into one of your eggs and the now fertilized egg has to remain in your body. Sperm can't get to your eggs by falling... I promise!

You wont loose your virginity to a penci lthough you might break your hymen which usually happens the first tim eyou have sex. Virginity evolves from spiritual significance as designating someone as pure by having never engaged in sexual realtions (considered spiritual exchange) with another person. So until you lie with someone, you are still a virgin.
But don't go putting foreign objects in places unless they were intended for use like tampons and other feminine products.

The definition of a virgin is someone who hasn't had sex!! You don't have sex with pencils, so even if you got something rammed up your who-ha, you're still a virgin, as you haven't had sex. Are you talking about 'popping the cherry'? This can be accomplished by just using tampons.
And no, the ONLY way a baby is conceived is when your egg and a mans sperm get together. NOT from falling down.

The pencil thing could cause major damage and only someone with very little common sense would try such a thing. The other is just flat out false about falling on your tummy and getting pregnant.

That is so not true. The only way you can lose your virginity is by having sex with someone. And the same with getting pregnant-there is no possible way you can get pregnant unless a man's sperm has entered your body and met up with one of your eggs. Tell your friend to pay more attention in health class.

The pencil part would be true but who in the world would do this it could do permanent damage and cause a bad infection. The 2nd ?? if anyone will believe that one then I'll sell them a 5 million dollar lotto ticket that i don't want the hassle of cashing in for 500,000.00

you can only get pregnant if a sperm meets with your egg. so the falling on your stomach is sooo not true. there are many different ways for a female break her hymn which is what your friend was telling you about the pencil
