You can manually force itunes to look up artwork for your songs. Also, some CD's may not have the artwork info imbedded in the music.

I also had the same problem with itunes if the artist name wasn't on it's own. For example, it would find artwork for songs on the same album for John Legend, but wouldn't recognize a song by John Legend featuring Kanye West.

Try it manually.

You have to manually assign artwork to media ripped from audio CDs. Well actually, not so much manually any more, if you have an iTunes Store account. If you're signed in, just right click (or select any number of songs) and click "Get Album Artwork".

Now, the annoying thing about this is (at least it's this way with my nano), iTunes doesn't seem to think that a change in album artwork is enough reason to resync the song. So in order to get it to actually transfer the artwork after the songs are already on the iPod, you have to either:

* Erase the songs from the iPod
* Change some of the album information
* Disable album art syncing, sync your iPod, then re-enable it and sync your iPod again.

Frustrating to say the least, but I think the easiest method is to just copy the artist's name to the Album Artist column, since it's usually empty. Then it will sync the songs WITH the album artwork.

Hope that helps!
