As a diehard Louisville Cardinal fan, it is hard for me to believe that UofL will make the Final Four earlier in the year BUT in sports, anything is possible and I think that it is possible that UofL could make a run to the Final Four. I think they are hot right now but in the past UofL teams that have been hot entering the tourney has fizzled out, even Big East teams (Syracuse and Pitt last year) seem to fizzle out in the NCAA tourney. The key for Louisville is going to be their coaching of Pitino. A guy like Pitino can coach a team with the unpredictable talent of Louisville to the final four (see 2005 Final Four when UofL was a four seed and made it to the final four). Unlike that team, UofL lacks the scoring of a Garcia and O'Bannon and the shooting of a Taquan Dean but this team has similar characteristics. T-Will has a similar role like Garcia just doesnt have the jump shot. Jerry Smith was one of the best in the Big East in 3pt shooting similar to Dean. David Padgett and Ellis Myles (from the 2005 team) also play the same kind of inside scoring, high post role. Juan Palacios is still on the team, although he has been struggling with injuries and Brandon Jenkins is also on the team (he was also on the 2005 team) and he like O'Bannon was, is a senior trying to make one last run for a title. Louisville is a good defensive team but their offense has been inconsistent all season (see tonights game against WVU when UofL went 10 minutes w/o scoring a point) but their defense can keep them in games. Youth is also an issue but again, these freshman have played all season and their leader is obviously T-Will..as he goes, the team goes...

They'll make a good run because they've been hot down the stretch. I think the key is going to be keeping Padgett on the floor like they did tonight. But I have a feeling that with the youth they have with 3 starting freshman, they might fumble under pressure. The NCAA Tournament is nothing like the Big East tourney. There are teams of better caliber and if Louisville pulls another teams that runs that West Virginia style of offense they've going to get their money's worth.

it truly is confusing to call them a cinderella team, thinking they're a consistent contender, now in a significant convention. besides the undeniable fact that, i have self belief they'd be between the most deadly communities to obtain a decrease seed. they have truly been on a tear because their early-season inconsistencies. Their youthful adult males have truly stumbled on their activity! seek for them to win some video games before being added down!

No, they should have lost to West Virginia last night, on the last play of regulation the clock did not start until the kid reached half court, but oh well. No I don't think they are good enough this year, maybe next year they are young.

I highly doubt it, if they make the Sweet 16 they are pushing their luck. Late surges seem to wear off on hot teams in the tourney. Consistency is the key to success. that and just flat out having good team players.

they have been hot lately, but i don't think they have the firepower to be a final four team...they play excellent defense and can pressure the ball very well like most of rick pitino's teams, but the big question is whether or not they have the big-time scorer to get deep...that remains to be seen, but i doubt it
