My wife is currently in the hospital, and has been for 3 months. This all began with the loss of our son at birth. We were devastated. She was diabetic, and we lost hope of another after all the complications, but we got our miracle and our beautiful son was born. Shortly after she was told she had chronic renal failyre and would need to be dialysised. She has had trouble fighting infections, and has been hospitalized alot over the past couple of years, but three months ago was the huge blow. She went to the hospital vomiting. We thought it would be simple, maybe an emergency dialysis treatment, or maybe her blood sugar was way too high again, and she would be home in a day or so. That didn't happen. They found an infection in her blood that they could not fight and her bodies immune system was too weak to do anything. After that, she began losing feeling in her legs, and is now paralyzed because they did not listen to her when she complained of back pain. They finally took her in for an x-ray, and found a mass on her back. The infection had spread. She has undrgone getting her lungs drained numerous times, countless blood transfusions, and the wall in her private parts decayed and had to be surgically repaired, no food for over a month now, and only liquids that do not contain any things that would need to be evacuated because of the hole. Her entrances for dialysis have been compromised by infection over 7 times, and they believe they finally have it under control. She may even begin rehab in a month or so, to see if she will ever walk again, but this is not the worst of it. She has a ten year old daughter, and a 3 year old son, our miracle, that keep asking when mommy is coming home, and because of the complications, I don't know what to say. It tears my heart out. That is the worst thing. Sorry it was so long, but I just got going and had to get it all out. Thank you.

I had a miscarriage. I did, however, have a baby girl 16 months later... she wouldn't be here if I hadn't had a miscarriage and she's my world... I'll always miss the baby I didn't have though.
