If a man is married with a kid, and he hates his abusive wife, and is in love with another woman (wild guess here, YOU are the "another woman" right?) he SHOULD leave his wife for his mistress.

But, in the real world, he won't do that!

He'll keep "having his cake and eating it too" - he'll stay with his abusive wife he hates, and, when he has a spare moment, he'll sneak off to you to vent about how much he hates his wife (as a prelude to having sex with you) and he will keep doing that as long as you allow that to happen.

So, here's what you should do - tell him that, when he files for divorce and moves out of the house he shares with his wife, you will consider dating them.

Until he's ready to man up and walk out on his abusive wife, you can't be his girlfriend.

See what he says!

Odds are, he'll stay with the abusive wife he hates, and he'll find another girl who will believe his sob story about how much he hates his wife (and will willingly be the "other woman" permanently)

Well, first I will make sure that he really hates his wife, and that she is abusive. This sounds like a married man trying to get another woman in bed, then RUN! So be very careful if you've been told those stories of the "terrible" wife!

Get as many evidences as she can, then ask an advice from a lawyer. Leaving him with the kids on her worsen the situation. Although the husband and wife relationship is the priority here, consider also the future of those kids. If the stupid husband still interested in making his family whole again, he must make a decision. If he is no longer interested, make the separation legal.

Another woman in the pic. or not he shouldn't stay with someone that is abusive anymore than a woman should stay with an abusive man. I also don't think that anyone should stay in a loveless marriage, child or not. If she is abusive he should go for custody of the child. Most abusers will abuse a child as well as an adult. If for no other reason than to get back at the one that left them. They have a really twisted way of thinking.

IF the man is being totally honest (many times they aren't) about his relationship with his wife, he should first seek counseling. He should have done this before he found another woman and "fell in love". She is abusive and he is a cheater, seems to me they both have issues to deal with.

If his wife is abusive and is beating on him then he needs to get out and file for divorce. Once the divorce is finalized then i feel he would be free to see and date this other woman. He should not hate his wife though.

It's his decision. He could stay in marriage which is scared of wife if she file a child support. He can leave wife and a child if he REALLY care about another woman, then he would not be bother to pay child support.

I don't think he should leave the woman he loves, no. It might be smarter to stay with that one and leave the abusive hateful one. In either case, keep loving the child and make sure the child is safe and happy.

The man and his wife should seek out some counseling. He cannot solve that relationships issues, while he is involved (love or no) with another woman. And by solve I mean staying or going.
