i have always wanted to become a singer, and i am still uncertain on who to talk to about it because its my dream. singing makes my friends happy... it makes my peers happy... and it makes me happy.

Start going with a friend to places that have singing, like kareoki, church functions...get involved, not knowing what you like to sing makes this kind of hard to pinpoint you a direction. there is a good book, called, all you need to know about music business, by Donald S> Passman. this book will surely answer a lot of questions.....

Get with other people. Find a guitar player and work on songs. Try karaoke. Record yourself if you can. Find out if you have talent. If you don't, you can still sing for fun, but don't push it. If you do, then try to work with people who are as serious as you are.

Try out for talent shows,take voice lessons and whatever you do,dont try out for American Idol!
