There is strong evidence to suggest that human activity is responsible for the current global warming trend - if we as a species do not take action today, it may be too late to change our tomorrow.
Or something along those lines. I'd avoid making a statement of fact, as there is no conclusive, indisputable evidence that human activity is to blame. 'Strong evidence to suggest' is probably as far as you can go.

Geographical and human historical records prove that the earth has a cyclical pattern of warming and cooling. The earth is now in the cycle of warming. Though human activity would seem to be the cause, at most human activity may slightly influence this cycle, and most changes now will not affect the outcome of the earth warming.
Therefore I will show how we should stop fooling ourselves that we have the power to fight a naturally and frequently occuring global trend, and focus on ways to minimize it's inevitable impact on mankind.

You want a good thesis statement ... check out my two resolved questions (links below). One really frightening reason to address global warming in a hurry.
In essence, every one degree rise in ocean temperature due to Global Warming is the equivalent energy to 1.3 BILLION atomic bombs. That excess energy is expressed as severe weather.
Just give credit where credit is due in your thesis, okay?
