Richardson.

Why are you buying into the hype that there are only two to choose from? Besides, even without Richardson for me to support, you can't forget Edwards - he's going to beat both Clinton and Obama in TWO early primaries, Iowa and Nevada, the way things stand right now.

And "right now" is irrelevant anyway.

Study the field. Hillary is NOT what's best for the Dems - and Obama? Likeable, but is there really any there there? Don't imbue him with virtue by projecting upon him - make him come to you.

[added] It WON'T BE narrowed down this way. The way the primary calendar is falling, you'll have at least five still standing when you vote, probably more than that. Why force a false dichotomy?

But since you are so insistent, I prefer Obama by a long shot over Hillary. But I'm becoming increasingly unimpressed with him as a potential president every day - he's an empy vessel that everyone else is filling with their own stuff.

I really hate to say it but if the Democrats nominate either of these two it will be the first time in my life I may vote Republican....that is if Rudy G or either or John Mc gets their nomination. Personally I would rather see Joe Biden get the Democrats nomination. He is the most experienced and the most pragmatic of the Dems.

I would have to go with Hillary. Her cabinet would be tight and watched like a hawk.

I do not know if Obama would consider to be on Hillary's ticket. If he is asked he would be the first Vice President that actually did something beside sit in the "big chair" during the State of the Union Addresses.

Of the two, Hillary easily. Much more experience at the national level. Eight years as a presidential intern. Has Bill on call 24/7 to make sure she gets it right.

I would like to see some combination of Gore, Edwards, Powell, and maybe McCain.

While I will vote democrat (don't worry republican types - I live in Utah which means the Republican candidate will get Utah's electoral votes - my vote is symbolic only) IF the only option is those two, I will have to think a little bit...perhaps withhold my vote for the first time ever.

"That's like asking for a sharp needle in the eye or a root canal."

You're right. Better than the kick in the crotch we currently have in office in any case.

To answer the original question, definitely Obama. Obama doesn't vote directly on party lines, he votes on what is best overall for this country, and that kind of heady bipartisianship is what we need right now.

Neither. I will probably vote for a third party candidate, since I don't like any of the Republican or Democratic candidates.
