Yes, the US is already declining
In the modern world of hightech communications and close relations between nations, countries are no longer alone and are less susceptible to internal and external problems. But, as we can see, the Soviet Union fell, many other nations will decline and eventually so will the US

The United States should not think of itself as a reigning power or to have any special place in history as a great empire or global hegemon. To do so would lead to arrogance and hubris.

The United States has achieved a great deal - for the benefit for mankind. This has not only included benefits in techology, but assistance in times of crisis such as wars, famines, national crisis and other disasters.

The U.S will always have the admiration of the world. And if Americans look at their role in the world to help make the world a better, safer place - it will always have the respect of every nation on earth.

The United States does not need military power to be respected. Something American politicians should keep in mind.

I would answer "probably"

On the one hand, all empires have collapsed over time. On the other hand, no nation has EVER wielded such a huge military & such a dominant and worldwide economic position. I guess my answer is "probably, but it will likely take some time."

I would say yes! There are glaringly obvious signs of steady decline in the U.S. The increase of the poor and homeless, corruption at the highest levels of our gov't., loss of respect and presige in the world community... the list goes on.
